GTA 6 Physical Edition Rumored to Include a Collector's Map, but GameStop Stores Can't Agree

A sign in a GameStop window says the boxed version of GTA 6 comes with a "physical collector's map", according to a photo posted to the GTA 6 subreddit and reported by ComicBook on October 12. Rockstar Games, Take-Two and GameStop have not confirmed it.

The claim rests on that one sign and on what staff at individual stores have told callers, and those answers do not agree.

Where the GTA 6 collector's map rumor comes from

The photo was posted by Reddit user Small_Masterpiece892, who said employees inside the store repeated the claim. The store is reported to be in Pennsylvania, and the poster wrote in the replies that they were as skeptical as everyone else. The Reddit post has since been removed by a moderator.

ComicBook described the sign as "DIY advertising posted on the window of a singular GameStop store", not official Rockstar material.

What GameStop stores are saying

Calls to stores have gone both ways, GTA BOOM reported. Two YouTubers, iShoTz and Keemotionx, said their local stores told them the box includes a map with the download code. Games writer Cade Onder called five stores, found "total confusion" among staff who knew nothing about a map, and asked GameStop's corporate office for an answer. None has been published.

What the GTA 6 physical edition includes

What Rockstar has confirmed is that the $79.99 boxed Standard Edition contains a download code and no disc. That is the main reason for doubt: a map would mean printing one for every otherwise empty box, as TheGamer pointed out.

There is a precedent. Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 both shipped with paper maps, and TheGamer notes that every mainline GTA through GTA V had one in the box.

One printed map of Leonida is confirmed, and it is not in the game box. Rockstar's $399.99 Vice City Collection includes a double-sided poster with a map of Leonida on one side. That box does not include the game.

GTA 6 is due on November 19, 2026. Rockstar has not published the full map of Leonida; what is known so far is on our GTA 6 interactive map.
