Rockstar Games had West Coast Customs build road-going versions of six GTA 6 cars and photographed them next to the in-game models they copy. The images went out to outlets on November 6, and the cars were filmed driving around Miami, Complex reported from the press release.

Rockstar has not put the images or the car names on its own site. The screenshots went to media partners, including an Instagram set shared with Hypedrive, and the comparison shots pair each real car with its counterpart in the game, RockstarINTEL reported.

The six GTA 6 cars built in real life

Multiple outlets that saw the release name the same six, each from a different corner of Vice City's car culture:

  • Grotti Cheetah, a mid-engined exotic
  • Pegassi Tempesta, built in police livery
  • Progen Emerus, a track-styled supercar
  • Invetero Coquette, an American sports car
  • Albany Buccaneer, a lowrider
  • Albany Manana, a donk on oversized wheels

All six are names the series has used before. Rockstar has not published a GTA 6 vehicle list, so these names come from the campaign rather than from anything on the game's own pages.

How the cars were built

The press release describes a build that "combines traditional metal fabrication with modern composite construction, using CNC machining to produce custom wheels and structural components", in the wording Complex quoted. Each car got its own paint, interior and suspension work.

Outlets that saw the release also list engines for each build, among them a 4.9-litre V8 in the Cheetah and a 4.0-litre V10 in the Tempesta, as zetik and TechWiser set them out. The cars carry Leonida plates with Vice City text, and frames reading "VI", "West Coast Customs" and the Rockstar logo.

Rockstar has done this once before

In 2013 the same shop built a real Bravado Banshee for GTA 5, based on a Dodge Viper, which Rockstar then gave away in a promotional contest. That was one car. This time it is six, and they were built for photographs rather than for a giveaway.

Rockstar has not said whether the cars will be shown to the public before launch, or what becomes of them afterwards. GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
