GTA 6 Is a 210GB Download on PS5, According to a PlayStation Store Data Tracker

GTA 6 is a 210GB download on PS5, according to PlayStation Game Size, an account on X that reads unreleased data from the PlayStation Store. Rockstar has not confirmed the figure.

The post, published on October 27, lists the size for the $79.99 Standard Edition next to the November 12 pre-load and November 19 release dates. It gives no Xbox Series X|S figure and does not say whether 210GB is the download, the installed game, or both.

How much space does GTA 6 need on PS5?

If the figure holds, plan for at least 210GB free before pre-loading opens. That is about a quarter of a standard PS5's storage, Notebookcheck worked out. The PS5 Pro, with a 2TB drive, has the most room of the current models.

Buying the boxed edition does not save a download. The box holds a download code rather than a disc, as our pre-load guide explains, so physical and digital buyers download the same files.

Where the 210GB figure comes from

PlayStation Game Size is known for pulling information from the PlayStation Store's back end before it is made public, PlayStation LifeStyle reported. Its GTA 6 post passed 900,000 views on the day it went up, and multiple outlets have repeated the number. None of them has a statement from Rockstar or Sony.

The figure is close to an earlier claim. In October, a leaker known as CyberLeek said a playable development build of the game was over 200GB, Notebookcheck reported. A development build is not the retail release, and that claim was never verified.

What is still unknown

Rockstar has not published a file size for either console, and there is no figure yet for Xbox Series X|S or for any launch-day update. Pre-loading opens on November 12, 2026, when the download size will show on each console.
