GTA 6 Phone and Apps
Jason and Lucia's phone is a physical object in GTA 6, with apps for banking, fitness, video, ride-hailing and car delivery. Because they are on the run, they can browse social media but not post to it.

Details
- Ride-hailing and fast travel
- Ryde Me
- Car delivery
- Scooter Bros
- Social media
- Snapmatic, browse only
- Other apps
- Banking, fitness, video, vehicle scanner
- Game
- Grand Theft Auto VI
- Platforms
- PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S
The phone in GTA 6 is an object in the world, not a 2D overlay. Rob Nelson, head of development at Rockstar North, told Famitsu that you handle it much like a real smartphone.
Apps confirmed so far
- Ryde Me, the game's version of Uber, which also works as fast travel.
- Scooter Bros, which delivers your personal vehicle to you.
- Snapmatic, a social media app you can browse.
- A banking app for your account.
- A fitness app.
- A video app.
- A vehicle scanner that shows a car's locks, alarm, tracker and value.
Ryde Me, Snapmatic and the scanner come from Nelson's interview with IGN; the rest he named to Famitsu.
Social media without posting
Jason and Lucia are hiding, so they cannot upload photos. Nelson said you can send photos to your partner and read other people's social media, but "they can't post on social media." Livestreaming appears in other ways: if someone you meet in a random event is streaming, the game shows it.
Calls and texts
You can call or text the other character at any time, and how you answer matters. Ignoring a goodnight message "may impact your relationship a bit," Nelson told IGN.
Map and navigation
The map is in 3D, and areas you have not visited stay hidden until you go there. Holding a button sets a destination without opening the map, and points of interest can be shown on screen, though Nelson said Rockstar is keeping the screen as clean as possible.
What is still unknown
Rockstar has not published the full app list, or said whether Ryde Me trips cost money. GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
