GTA 6 Personal Vehicles: Garage Slots, Delivery and Trunk Storage
GTA 6 starts you with room for three personal vehicles, more with garages. Registered cars can be delivered to you through a phone app and carry your guns and spare outfits in the trunk.

A personal vehicle in GTA 6 is a car you own, can call for, and use as storage. Rob Nelson, head of development at Rockstar North, explained the system to Famitsu and IGN.
How many cars you can own
Early in the game there is space for three vehicles, Nelson said. Buying garages around the map lets you own more. With all three slots full, a new car means selling one first, which Nelson compared to managing horses in Red Dead Redemption 2.
The Italian YouTuber Mike ShowSha, who played a preview build in July, says his three slots held Lucia's car, Jason's car and one more. In his session the group sold Jason's car and registered a stolen one in its place.
Making a stolen car yours
Any car you steal can be registered at a Pay 'n' Spray. The phone's vehicle scanner shows the cost before you commit. Pay 'n' Spray also repairs cars and repaints them, though only in plain colours; elaborate paint jobs need a tuning shop.
Having your car delivered
An app called Scooter Bros brings your car to you wherever you are. Mike ShowSha says the delivery is simulated: an NPC drives the car to you, gets out and leaves on an electric scooter.
What the trunk holds
Every gun you own is kept in your personal vehicle's trunk or at an Ammu-Nation armory, Nelson said, and the trunk also carries spare outfits for a quick change when the police know your clothes. You can put guns in the trunk of a stolen car too, for as long as you keep it.
What is still unknown
Rockstar has not said how many garages there are, what they cost, or whether delivery has a fee or a wait. GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
